Are the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peels worth it?

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peels

Now I don’t know about you. But as a woman in my thirties, I can’t help but think about the signs of ageing on my face. As I’ve moved from my twenties into my thirties I’ve definitely noticed changes in my face. My skin seems drier in place. More dehydrated. And at times, significantly duller than it used to. Which is why over the past couple of years I’ve really taken the time to invest in my skin. Not just through the use of stronger, more expensive products. But also educating myself on what my skin needs now that I’m in a new age bracket. And for me that is peels! So today I’m sharing my thoughts on one of the more expensive items on my skincare shelf, Are the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peels worth it?

Now if you’ve not heard of the Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peels before, then where have you been? These peels have held cult status for a while now, but at £87 for a 30-day pack, they aren’t cheap! But they do promise a lot of great things. These daily peels are dermatologist-developed and are designed to give you salon results at home. They’re the only peel on the market to combine five alphas and beta-hydroxy acids – which are your AHAs and BHAs – with wrinkle-wrestling antioxidants like retinol. But are they worth the hefty price tag?

I’ve tried a seven-day sample as part of the take the peel challenge. And after one week I can say my skin did look a little better. I wasn’t expecting huge changes after just one week. But there was definitely a noticeable difference in my skin.

My skin definitely felt smoother, it felt softer and my pores did appear reduced – which is a big thing for me as I feel like my pores can look huge at times! I also found that the peels helped to reduce any redness and give my skin a more even tone. Which is a huge bonus for me as I’m not the most confident when it comes to going bare-faced.

I’ve got a little before and after below. I wasn’t expecting huge changes having only used the product for a week. But I’m genuinely amazed at how my skin felt after just one week of using them. Yes, they are expensive, but by God, they’re worth it!

The Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Daily Peels are available in three different strengths – the Ultra Gentle Peel, the Universal Daily Peel and the Extra Strength Daily Peel. I used the Universal ones and would go for them again.
