Now I don’t know about you, but where is the year going? How are we already in September? It really won’t be long until we’re getting ready for Halloween, Fireworks, and then Christmas. Which is just crazy to me! But without wanting to wish away the year already, here is my August spending diary. Now if you want to see my previous spending diaries, they are all here.
Week one 2nd – 8th August £1,475.86
As per usual, the start of the month was expensive. The usual bills went out including £635 on my mortgage, £127 for council tax, £28.15 for broadband, £74.72 on utilities, £243.03 for my car, £22.99 for the mortgage insurance, £60 to my cleaner. As well as £100 in my investment account, £86 to MoneyBox, £9.99 for Netflix, £35.28 and £33.63 on Amazon, £7.67 to Lyrical host. And finally £24 for parking during the week and £14.40 for Tube fare.
Week two 9th – 15th August £410.47
There was a lot of eating with friends this week, two orders to Dominoes for £38.96 and £19.99 (not just for me I might add!). £64.60 on new makeup from Feel Unique, £155.52 to Flick to help with hashtag research (yep, that is a thing), £93 to MoneyBox. And then the usual £24 in parking, and £14.40 for Tube fare.
Week three 16th – 22nd August £124.37
This week luckily was a bit quieter. With £90 to MoneyBox, £10.99 to Canva, £27.99 to Biscuiteers, £16.99 to Amazon, and then the usual £24 parking and £14.40 Tube fare.
Week four 23rd August – 29th August £279.48
Again, luckily another quiet week! But I did need to pay £60 for travel insurance, £15.99 to Lyrical Host, £9.10 in Sainsbury’s, £86 to Moneybox, £9.99 Spotify, £60 to the Cleaner, and then the usual £24 parking, £14.40 Tube fare.
Week five 30th – 31st August £236.64
Holiday prep was in full swing this week with £47.50 spent on getting my hand and feet done. Plus £11.95 in Tesco, £16.50 in M&S, and £21.40 in Waitrose. I also paid £74.18 to Vodafone, £24.91 for my car maintenance payment. And then finally £40.26 to Uber Eats as I had friends round for dinner.
Total = £2,526.82
So that’s my August spending diary. As usual, I probably could have spent less than I needed to. I really need to watch the amount I spend on food, but overall, not a bad month. And no big unnecessary purchases, which is good!
