New from Benefit – They’re Real Double The Lip

Benefit They're Real Double The Lip

When it comes to applying lipstick, I’ll hold my hand up and say that I don’t always apply lip liner. OK scrap that. I normally never apply lip liner. I know I’m a bad beauty blogger. But I always seem to forget that step. But now that won’t be an issue. As Benefit has launched a fab new product that combines lipstick and lip liner together. I know it’s genius! Now if you remember a few years back Benefit launched the pretty fabulous They’re Real mascara. Then it was the They’re Real eyeliners. And now the family has grown with the introduction of the They’re Real Double The Lip collection.

Now this concept is pretty unique. Not only can you save time but you can also achieve fuller-looking lips in one easy stroke thanks for these new lipsticks. As the They’re Real Double The Lip features a lip liner and lipstick in one. The custom teardrop tip lines and defines your lips, while the bottom half fills in your lips with a complimenting lipstick. This is honestly genius in my opinion!

There are eight shades in the collection and all of them offer a creamy, semi-matter lipstick that comes in neutrals, pinks, reds, berries and corals. So there is definitely a colour to suit everyone! The eight shades are:

I love these. The idea is genius and I love how the lip colour and liner blend together on your lips to give you a subtle definition. The 90’s trend of contrasting and quite obvious lip liner are over thankfully! The key thing to remember though is that when you apply it, you need to remember to pivot the tube around to fill in your lower lips. I find these to be incredibly moisturising on the lips. They’re not quite semi-matte in my opinion as they’re more of a creamy velvet texture. But they’re not overly shiny or glossy either. They are lovely though and they lasted a good 4-5 hours on my lips before they needed to be reapplied.

You can pick up the Benefit They’re Real Double The Lip from John Lewis for £16.50 each.

What do you think of these? Do you like the liner and lipstick combination?
