As the seasons come and go, I find myself changing not only my clothes, but also my makeup and perfumes. Certain things look and smell better in the summer months right? Well with that in mind, I thought I’d share with you all my favourite summer scents. These are my favourite floral fragrances that remind me of the warmer summer months.
Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs
I’m a huge fan of the Daisy perfumes and have been for many years, but Daisy Eau So Fresh is my favourite one for the summer months. It’s a lovely, light floral fragrance that lasts throughout the day and into the evening. Although it does have a good staying power, it’s not too overpowering and it’s ideal for wearing everyday. Now let’s talk about the bottle. As with the other Daisy perfumes, the bottle is glass, with an array of flowers on the lid. Anyone else think the lid reminds them of a 1950’s swimming cap?
Chloe Eau de Parfum by Chloe
This is another fragrance that I have loved for years. I love the very cute bottle, I love the ribbon around the neck of the bottle, and I love how the bottle is small enough to pop into my handbag. The scent is a beautiful but simple combination of roses and peonies, which makes it ideal for wearing in the day, or in the evening.
Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana*
I recently reviewed this perfume, and mentioned that if you like the two perfumes above, you’ll probably like this one as well. This one is also a floral scent, but it’s a bit heavier that the other two. Although the fresh floral tones do allow it to be worn as a daytime scent. For me, it’s a very soft and feminine fragrances, with hints of papaya flower, white amaryllis, waterflower and musk. What I love most about this fragrance is the gorgeous bottle. I know it sounds shallow, but it just looks so lovely on my dressing table, with the cute flower lid and black bow.
