How I’m celebrating my milestone birthday

birthday

As some of you may know, this year is a big year for me. At the end of the year I say goodbye to my twenties and enter my thirties. I actually feel a little sick at that thought. I’m not ready to let go of my twenties. I’ve loved being in my twenties. Like most people I’ve experienced my fair share of heartbreak and disappointments. And it’s fair to say my life really isn’t turning out how I planned, but that aside I’ve had so much fun over the past 10 years.

I gradated from University, I worked in some of the biggest PR agencies in London and now I’m in a job I wouldn’t have if it was’t for my blog. I’ve travelled to Mexico, Thailand, America, France, Spain, Hungary, Turkey and Egypt to name just a few. I’ve been to festivals and comedy shows, visited some of the most beautiful towns in England and spent weekends in my pjs on the couch. I’ve had a great 10 years. So how do I celebrate my milestone birthday?

Do I do a big party with family and friends? Hire out an amazing venue from One Events and treat it like I would a wedding? With a gorgeous dress, a photographer and enough flowers to fill a church. Or do I go on a girlie holiday and party the night away?

While both of those sound amazing, I’m actually doing a bit more of a low key celebration. The weekend before I’m going to have an intimate family meal and drinks in London. And the day before I’ll be heading to a spa with my mum for a day of pampering. My actually birthday falls on a weekday and I’m tempted to work… It’s the day of our work’s Christmas lunch so it certainly won’t be a tough day in the office!
