Makeup I can’t live without

Makeup I can't live without

When it comes to makeup there are certain products that I just can’t live without. I think everyone has their favourite products that they turn to time and time again. Products that help to enhance and hide my best and worst features, which is why I wanted to share with you all some of the makeup I can’t live without.

First up is concealer. I think most people would agree that concealer can be your best friend. If you’ve had a late night, bad night’s sleep or want to hide a blemish, then concealer is your answer. One of my favourites is the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer, it’s my go to concealer of choice, it’s small, versatile and works well at covering up dark circles and blemishes.

Next up is the Bourjois 123 Perfect Colour Correction Cream although this is a CC cream, the coverage is more akin to a foundation. The cream contains three colour correcting pigments – apricot to counteract the signs of fatigue, green to disguise any traces of redness and white to conceal dark sports. The oil-free formula is incredibly light and long lasting and I love wearing it in the warmer months.

Next is the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘Soft and Gentle’ this is quite a cult product and it’s easy to see why. Having picked this up over a year ago, it’s still the first highlighter that I turn to. It’s a gorgeous peachy/champagne shade that just adds a gorgeous glow to the checks. I’ve tried a lot of highlighters but this MAC one just gives a very natural glow that is incredibly easy to achieve.

Sticking with MAC, here are some of my favourite MAC Eyeshadows. These two are Scene Satin and Satin Taupe, two of my all time favourites. The reason I love MAC eyeshadows over other brands is because they’re incredibly pigmented and so easy to blend. Plus their shade range is huge. I own quite a few now and I’m never disappointed. The colour in the pan is exactly the same on your lids and I think they’re pretty affordable as well.

Next up is mascara and one of my new favourites is the Maybelline Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara. This mascara is a great dupe for the Benefit Roller Lash and like the Benefit one it had a curved wand that captures even the smallest of lashes, while also adding volume for the promised multiplied lash look. The curved wand also helps to adds volume to the lashes and the thick black formula and full fan wand helps to create a wide eye flutter in seconds. Even on days when I’m not wearing makeup, I’ll normally wear mascara. It’s just amazing how much more awake I look with mascara on.

Moving onto eyebrows and over the past few years I’ve taken more notice of my brows and spent more time filling them in. One of the easiest products to use for this is the Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Arch and Shape pencil. I prefer the natural look when it comes to my brows and I love this pencil for creating that look. The pencil is dual ended. On one end, you have a soft yet intense brow pencil and on the other you have a super-fine felt tip which is perfect for defining the brows and filming in individual hairs for a natural yet full look.

Finally it’s time for the lips and one of my favourite nude lips – Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Happy Nude Year. This is the perfect shade for creating my lips but better. It’s a gorgeous pretty pink nude that flatters the complexion and doesn’t wash me out. Although the product is applied wet, it dries into a velvety smooth texture that doesn’t dry out my lips and lasts for hours.

So this is the makeup I can’t live without. What makeup could you not live without?
