My new obsession – Customising Palettes with Makeup Obsession

Makeup Obsession

Happy Monday everyone! If you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen from my Instagram stories last week, I was lucky enough to head into London for the Makeup Obsession launch party. Now as you may have already seen from British Beauty Blogger, London Beauty Queen or Lady Writes this concept is about to become you’re new makeup obsession. Because you can now create and personalised your own custom eyeshadow, contour and blusher palettes.

While building your own palettes has been around for a few years now, you used to have to go to the higher end brands to do this. But now it’s more affordable. Makeup Obsession is brought to you by TAM Beauty, the people behind Makeup Revolution and Freedom Makeup. Two brands that are known for providing high quality makeup at affordable prices.

And that’s what Makeup Obsession is about. It’s offering you the chance to build and create your own signature palette with a choice of eyeshadows, blushers, highlighter and contouring shades. You can buy the pods individually and then just pop them into your palette. Or you can use them as is.

The eyeshadows cost just £2 each, while the blushers, highlighters and contour shades are a mere £3. The palettes are £4 for a six-piece while a 12-piece will set you back £8. With prices like this everyone can afford to mix up their looks and experiment with new colours every month or season.

As you would expect from the people behind Makeup Revolution, the products are creamy, well pigmented and long-lasting. There’s a great selection of colours to suit everyone and I’m sure following this success, more makeup items will find their way into a customisable palette form.

I had so much making this palette and that’s what I love about this concept. It’s putting the fun back into makeup and after all makeup should be fun. It should be about experimenting with colour and trying something new without having to break the bank. I really loved the experience which is why I was excited to hear that if you’re near to a Boots Emporium, you can get your palette engraved. Which could make great stocking fillers and gifts this year.

You can find Makeup Obsession in Boots now and also online.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you like the chance to create your own affordable signature palette?
