Sometimes as a blogger emails pop into your inbox that literally make you squeal in delight. And that is exactly what happened a few weeks ago when I was asked if I’d like to come down to the newly launched Marc Jacobs Beauty counter in Harrods and meet the brand’s Global Makeup Artist Yvonne Macinnis from New York. I mean how could I resist?!
I couldn’t obviously and as you may have seen from my Snapchat or Instagram stories from Thursday, I headed down to Harrods to meet with Yvonne and try the new Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème. Which by the way are amazing! And so is Yvonne. She’s honestly one of the funniest, friendliest and most fabulous person I’ve met in a while!
There are six colours in the collection and all of them are described as full bodied, bold nudes. You have:
- 450 Yours to Try – a light concealer shade
- 452 Fawn Over Me – a peachy nude
- 460 Hot Cocoa – a soft chocolatey shade
- 458 Slow Burn – a creamy rose nude
- 454 Truth or Bare – a dusty pink colour
- 456 Shush, Blush – a deep pink colour
The Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crèmes are a new kind of matte lip. They have a uniquely hydrating formula that contains a Brazilian butter for a rich, creamy texture that feels incredibly nourishing and moisturising on the lips, and collagen to help lips look fuller and more voluminous.
I have Slow Burn which is the same shade as their best selling lipstick in the same name. I love the creamy rose colour and have to admit the staying power is so impressive. Despite eating and drinking throughout the afternoon the lip crème stayed in place.
These Marc Jacobs Le Marc Liquid Lip Crèmes are an exclusive to Harrods until after Christmas, so if you want to try them out yourself, then you need to make a trip over to Knightsbridge ASAP! Especially as I’m sure Slow Burn will be the first to sell out.
