Now I don’t know about you, but I really wasn’t sure about this bag. I loved it when it came out last year. But I truly thought it would be a one and done kinda bag. Big for one season and then done for the next. But I was wrong. The Chloe Woody is standing the test of time, and I couldn’t help myself. So if you’re in the market for a new bag or have your eye on this one for a while. Let me talk you through the reasons why I love medium Chloe Woody tote bag.
Firstly, it’s a great size. The Woody Totes do come in five sizes now, the nano, the mini, the small, medium and large. I’ve got the medium and just find that it’s a great everyday size. For me, I find the large to be better as a travelling bag, rather than an everyday one. The medium can fit all my daily essentials in and it’s too heavy to carry on the shoulder.
Secondly, I love how classic the colours are. It just goes with everything. There are so many versions and seasonal versions of this bag. There’s patterns, there’s shearling, there’s just about every combination you can think of. But my favourite is the classic. When the bag first launched, it was in this brown colour and I’ve been a fan of this colourway ever since. It’s a great colour for summer and will instantly elevate any outfit.
Thirdly, when it comes to luxury bags, this bag is actually pretty reasonably priced. Yes, it still is a lot of money for a larger bag. But compared to a Dior Book Tote or a Chanel Deauville, you are literally saving yourself thousands! Prices start at £425 for the nano and go up to £890 for the large. And considering this is a well made, luxury, canvas and leather bag, I think it’s pretty reasonably priced. I’m sure many will disagree but if you’re in the luxury world, or like designer bags. Then you’ll appreciate that finding great quality at this price point can be challenging.
And finally, one of the things that initially put me off the bag, is actually now one of the reasons I love it. I initially thought the big logos would make this bag feel dated in a couple of years. But I actually feel that the logos make the bag. It’s starting to feel more iconic to me. Especially as the Woody has expanded into so many sizes and so many different colourways and materials.
