Happy Saturday everyone! So today’s post is a special one. As you may have seen from my Instagram story or Snapchat, I treated myself in the Boxing Day sales to a very special bag. Those that know me well, know I do love my designer bags. And that I have a soft spot for a Mulberry. A Mulberry Bayswater was the first proper designer bag I got back in 2010 and I still love today.
Over the years I’ve been able to grow my Mulberry collection and on Tuesday I added another bag to the mix. Now I have to start my saying I wasn’t planning on buying a bag. In fact I really wanted to buy a house first before treating myself to another bag. But I’ve wanted this bag for so long, it was in the sale and in the most gorgeous colour. So you know, it was fate. Plus with over £200 of John Lewis vouchers, it didn’t cost me as much as it could have. I mean it was still a lot to spend but I work hard for my money and I choose to spend my money on designer bags.
Anyway enough rambling. Here is the bag – it’s the Medium Lily in Taupe and it was love at first site! I’ve wanted a bigger everyday bag for a while. I’ve been using this one from DKNY for over a year, and while it’s a great everyday bag. It is a little small. But the Medium Lily is the perfect size for everyday use. I can fit my purse in there, my phone, keys, some makeup and even a little camera if I want to.
I also have to say I absolutely love the colour. None of my bags are black, they’re all different colours. And this taupe is just a perfect everyday colour that will go with so much! Plus the silver hardware goes really well with the taupe shade. I also really love the fact the strap can be worn longer, so that the bag sits lower down on the hip. Or you can double the strap up so that it sits under your arms. The only slight downside. And it’s so slight I don’t really care about it. Is that the strap isn’t really long enough for an across your body bag. But I can live with that!
What do you think of the bag. What did you pick up in the Boxing Day Sales?
