My everyday haircare staples

Everyday haircare staplesAt times I can be a real creature of habit. I like to eat the same foods, wear the same makeup looks and use the same products on my hair. Why? Because as much as I love trying new things, I also love the familiarity of using something that is tried, tested and much loved. Which is why I wanted to share with you all my everyday haircare staples. These are the products I love to use to create the same hairstyles I’ve had for about five years now. Which can best be described as messy, lived in waves.

So after using shampoo and conditioner on my hair, it’s time to prep it before applying any heat. And for this I love to use the Percy & Reed Wonder Balm. I use this when my hair is still wet and run a small amount through my hair from root to tip. When using this, my hair is so much easier to manage and style and it leaves it feeling smooth and frizz free which is what I need.

Next up is the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray, this just helps to add volume in my hair. Now that my hair is a bit longer and heavier the roots can look very flat very quickly. Which is not a good look for me. So I spray this into my hair when it’s still wet at the roots before blow drying.

After drying and styling my hair it’s time to add some more volume and a little shine. For the shine I use the Richard Ward Keratin Shine Vitamin Boost Spray. I  use this to add an extra dose of shine to my locks. I mainly use this on the mid lengths and ends of my hair, so not to weigh the roots down or make them look greasy. It smells amazing and gives my locks a boost of shine and glossiness. Next for the volume and as mentioned my hair is quite long at the moment so it can make the roots look a little flat and dull, which is why I use the Batiste XXL Volume Dry Shampoo for an extra lift at the root. Like with most dry shampoos, I spray this at the root and then run my fingers through my hair to even out the product and add the much needed lift.

So these have been my everyday haircare staples, what are yours?
