My four favourite at home workouts

home workouts

Happy Friday everyone! Now I don’t know about you, but sometimes I can really struggle to find the time for the gym. I can start the week well, with grand plans of hitting the gym at least three times a week. But then life gets in the way. Work takes over and last minute drink and dinner invites pop up. It’s tough right? Which is why, even if I can’t get myself. I try to do a home workout. Going to the gym can take up about two hours of my time when you factor in travel, changing etc. But a home workout? Well I can that done in half the time. So if you’re looking to save time and money by doing a at home workouts. Then here are my four favourite at home workouts.

I don’t know about you, but I use the internet for pretty much every aspect of my life. From ordering food and clothes shopping to finding a date and booking a holiday, the internet has so many uses. And finding a free workout is another great use. Just make sure you have the right workout clothes. For me, I tend to stick to gym leggings and a t-shirt. And I can’t live without my Nike Air Max trainers.

Blogilates

Now don’t let the name put you off, this is a killer workout. But if you like hard workouts with a pop soundtrack with an upbeat trainer, then this is for you. Plus along with the free workouts, you can also use her meal plans for inspirations.

Tone It Up
Tone It Up is another great site with workouts, food guides and inspiration a plenty. The guides are not free but they do have online workout videos and printouts that you can follow for free. And if their bodies are anything to go by, this is definitely one to invest in. Especially have the most amazing smoothie recipes. And if you need cheap food processors and blenders, then TJ Hughes have you covered.

As well as finding great workouts online, you can also find them on your smartphone or tablets. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of workout apps around, but these two I really like:

Sweat with Kayla
Now I’m sure you’ve all seen her videos pop up on your Facebook. Mine seem to be inundated with them! But Kayla Itsines has released an app for her infamous Bikini Body Guides, called Sweat with Kayla. The app is completely free to download but you do need to buy the guide via the app in order to use the app. I really like that the app has so many different workouts including LISS, Legs, Arms & Abs or Full Body. And what’s better is that the app ticks how many days you’ve done cardio, and how many days you’ve done resistance so that you can keep track.

7 Minute Workout
This app is perfect for those of us who really don’t have a lot of spare time. As who hasn’t got a spare seven minutes to workout? The 7 minute workout is a HIIT workout using your bodyweight, a chair and a wall to give you a full body workout. And it’s only 7 minutes because you give each move your all for just 30 seconds, going as hard and as fast as you possibly can. Then rest for 10 seconds before going on to the next move.
