My Holiday Essentials

My Holiday Essentials

With Easter this weekend I know so many people who will be going away over the Easter break and spending their Bank Holiday relaxing in far flung destinations. And while that’s not me, it is around this time of year that I start planning my summer holidays. I already have one short break in France sorted for the May Bank Holiday weekend but I need to get some more organised so that I have a nice long holiday to look forward to. And with that in mind I thought I’d share with you all my holiday essentials.

Headphones

It doesn’t matter whether I’m travelling by train, plane or automobile I hate going anywhere without my trusty headphones. They make the traveling experience so much more enjoyable when you can enjoy your film or music without the loud noise of the plane/train/cars interrupting you.

Phone

I’d be lost without my phone so this is another holiday essential for me. From snapping away quick selfies to sharing my holiday cocktails with my friends on social media, I couldn’t be on holiday without my phone.

Camera

Although there is a camera on my phone, I love taking my SLR away with me. Especially if there’s lots to see and explore on holiday. It means I can capture good quality pictures that will last a lifetime from some of the most beautiful places I get to visit. I took it to Istanbul and so glad I did, I’m not sure my iPhone could have captured the beauty of the architecture in Istanbul like my SLR did.

Money

This is a pretty obvious holiday essential, without money I wouldn’t be able to see or do anything. There’s nothing like buying overpriced goods at the airport just so you can say I got this in… Or is that just me?

Makeup

Another pretty obvious essential. And while I don’t tend to wear makeup during the day on holiday – I’m just not a fan of wearing a full face of makeup while sunbathing. I do like to glam up a bit for the evenings.
