Sainsbury’s Boutique Makeup Range

Sainsbury's Boutique Makeup Range

I really don’t need an excuse to buy makeup. I really don’t. And I’m sure any fellow beauty obsessives won’t either. But I’m afraid to say buying quality but affordable makeup just got a lot easier. As Sainsbury’s have introduced their new Boutique Makeup Range. Now I know what you’re thinking. And I know, Sainsbury’s isn’t the first place I’d head to for makeup either. But trust me it’s worth checking out!

The whole range has been designed in partnership with professional makeup artists. So you know you’re in good hands here. And I have to say the collection features something for everything. There are lovely bronzers, blushes, eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks and glosses as well as lip pencils and nail polishes.

Nail Polishes Wild Goose Chase & Rose Tinted Glasses £4 each

Now is the perfect time to put aside the summery colours and get out some gorgeous Autumn/Winter shades like these two from Sainsburys! Wild Goose Chase is a lovely taupey mink colour that is my ultimate nail colour. I have a few similar shades to this in my collection, but you can never have too many taupes can you? The Rose Tinted Glasses colour is a lovely rosey pink colour that is a classic all year round. Both of these only required two coats each and lasted a good five days before chipping.

Bronzers Chock-A-Block & Head In The Sand £6 each

Next up are two of my favourites from the whole collection. These two bronzers! Both of these colours are super pigmentated, creamy to use and blended beautifully on the face. You can also build the colour for the results you want. I find a light dusting of either of these just gave me a healthy glow.

Lipsticks Paint The Town Red, The Naked Truth & Rose In The Dessert £7 each

Next up are these gorgeous lipsticks. All three are super creamy, moisturising on the lips and deliver a great colour pay off. Though I do have to say I find myself having to reapply these quite a few times throughout the day. But I don’t mind that. The three I have are Paint the Town Red – a classic bright red, The Naked Truth – a gorgeous nude colour and Rose in the Dessert – a lovely dark rose shade.

Lipgloss Lip Lip Hooray, Mum’s The Word & Hocus Pocus £6 each

If you like super glossy, high colour and moisturising lip glosses then these are the ones for you. You can wear these on their own or on top of the lipsticks. They’re creamy and not drying on your lips or sticky at all – which I love! The shades I tried out were Lip, Lip Hooray – a lovely peach coral, Mum’s the Word – gorgeous rosey pink colour and Hocus Pocus – a super soft pink shade.

Eyeshadows All That Glitters, Forty Winks, Worth It’s Salt & Turn A Blind Eye

Next up are the eyeshadows. They also do eyeshadow quads but I’ve been trying the individual ones and they’re lovely. I have three shimmers and one matte and all four are creamy and buttery in texture. They last on the lids throughout the day, don’t crease and are just generally lovely. The four I have are All That Glitter – a shimmery gold, Forty Winks – a shimmery copper, Worth It’s Salt, – a matte white and Turn a Blind Eye – a shimmery bronze colour.

Lip Liner Chinese Whispers £2

It’s not surprising that this is another lovely product from the Sainsbury’s Boutique Range. The whole range is full of affordable but great quality products just like this lip liner. It’s a lovely soft nude shade that is creamy to use and feel more expensive than the bargain price of £2!

What do you think of the Sainsbury’s Boutique Makeup Range? Would you pick this up next time you’re in the supermarket?
