Now that the weather has turned cold and winter is well and truly here. I’ve found my hair in dire need of some TLC. I’m not sure if it’s the change in temperature but I just find my hair is looking and feeling really lacklustre at the moment. It’s dry, damaged and just generally a bit dire! Which means I have to make an extra effort with it at the moment to ensure it looks presentable. Well presentable-ish. Which is why I thought I’d put together this winter haircare edit. These are the products I’ve been relying on to get my hair looking fab during the winter months.
Tangle Teezer The Ultimate Finishing Hairbrush £15
As a big fan of the original Tangle Teezer I have to say having tried two other brushes from the range, the whole collection is fab. This is the finishing brush which is perfect for dry-styling and dressing your hair. The unique teeth on the brush are longer with softer tips which help to detangle and smooth your hair for a high shine.
Lee Stafford ARGANOIL from Morocco Nourishing Miracle Oil £11.99
I think we’re all pretty familiar with Argan Oil by now. We all now how amazing it can make your hair feel. Which is why I love to use one on my hair. Especially this one from Lee Stafford. This rich nourishing oil leaves my hair feeling softer, shinier and in fab condition.
John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day In- Shower Treatment Spray £9.99
I find that during the colder months my hair can look and feel weighed down. I’m not sure if it’s just product build up or what but I’m always striving for me volume and this is my volume lifesaver. It’s a semi-permanent treatment which has volume boosting polymers which penetrate the hair to thicken the individual fibres. And it really works! I find that it just makes my hair easier to work with and definitely adds the volume I want.
Lee Stafford Coco Loco Coconut Mask £6.99
It wouldn’t be a winter haircare edit without a hair mask, and the Coco Loco Coocnut one from Lee Stafford is fab. It’s packed full of ingredients that help repair damaged, dry and weak hair by reducing protein loss and strengthen hair. It leaves my hair feeling soft, glossy and revitalised. Which is exactly how I want my hair to look in the winter months.
Percy & Reed Wonder Balm £18
Moving onto the Percy and Reed Wonder Balm. Percy and Reed is probably one of my favourite haircare brands. Their quirky packaging and fun product names certainly make them stand out from the crowd. The Wonder Balm is certainly true to it’s name. I feel like this has actually changed my life for the better. Before using this, I always found that my hair couldn’t hold a style unless I used an obscene amount of hairspray. Now I use this before blow drying my hair, style is how I desire and it sits perfectly all day without so much a hair moving out of place.
Tangle Teezer Large Round Styling Tool £18
The other Tangle teezer brush I’ve been loving this winter is this large round styling tool. With ground-breaking teeth technology, this brush picks up hair at the root for amazing lift and volume. It means it can dry your hair quicker while gently blow drying your hair for natural volume, bounce and all over smoothness and shine. Perfect for this time of year!
