Now I don’t know about you. But I never look forward to that time of the month. I’m not a fan of the changes in my body. The changes in my mood and just the general inconvenience of it. And let’s not even get started on the pain. I’m someone who has in the past passed out from the paid caused from Mother Nature. So I’m open to trying all sorts of products, potions and activities to help me get through the time of the month. So here are things things that are working for me right now.
First up is something that I’d never tried before. And actually had no idea that it would help with easing any symptoms or pain associated with the time of the month. But Our Remedy CBD oil has been a game changer. It’s a cruelty free CBD oil that is 100% vegan and designed to be taken daily. It’s peppermint flavoured, which is nice and for every bottle sold they donate to period poverty charities.
I have to admit I was a little sceptical about trying a CBD oil or any other natural remedies for period cramps. But I could not be happier with the results. Not only am I sleeping better since taking the oil daily. But while I would usually be out of action on day one of my period. I now find that the pain is minimal compared to what it usually is!
Next up is exercise. Now I know what you’re thinking. And believe me, on the first day of my period the last thing I want to do is to squeeze myself into some lycra leggings and a sports top and head out for a walk or a run. But I honestly cannot stress enough how much better I feel once I’ve had a little exercise! Especially now the pain I experience is a lot less than usual thanks to the CBD oil. I tend to keep the exercise light on day one. And then amp it up for days 2-4 when I have more energy.
And the final thing helping me get through the time of the month is just a good old fashioned pampering session. I find that taking that time to pamper myself makes me feel good. Regardless of what time of the month it is. It’s honestly amazing what a hair mask. A face mask. And a nice long soak in the bath can do for your general wellbeing.
Let me know in the comments below what things help you or your partner get through that time of the month.
