Now unless you’ve been living under a beauty rock for the past month or so. You’re probably aware that Urban Decay has released a new Naked palette. We’ve had Naked 1, 2 and 3, and then Naked Smoky. And now it’s time for Naked Heat. And if you’re as OCD as I am, then you’ll have all five. Because you can’t have an incomplete collection can you?
But aside from my OCD. I had to get this palette. Firstly, it’s different to the others. And I know this sounds like a lame excuse we tell people to justify our makeup purchases. But it really is different! Urban Decay are following the trend for warmer shades with 12 colours that sit on the orange/red end of the colour spectrum. As with the other palettes, there’s a good mix of mattes and shimmers. Seven mattes and five shimmers to be exact.
Ounce An ivory shimmer | Chaser A light nude matte | Sauced A soft terracotta matte
Low Blow A brown matte | Lumbre A copper shimmer with gold pearl shift | He Devil. A burnt red matte
Dirty Talk A metallic burnt red |Scorched A metallic finished rosy copper | Cayenne A warm chocolate matte
En Fuego A burgundy matte | Ashes A rich aubergine matte | Embre A deep metallic copper-burgundy
As with every other Urban Decay Palette, the formulation of these powders are incredibly buttery. Not only that but they also stay in place all day. And blend so well together. Now admittedly I’m more of a shimmery taupe kinda of girl. But I have to admit that I really love the warmer tones. Obviously there are some colours that I’ll wear more of than others. But overall, it’s a great selection of warmer tones. And I know that as we move into Autumn, this will become my go to palette.
You can pick up the palette for £39.50 here.
