Now I don’t know about you, but when it comes to everyday makeup looks. I like to keep it quick and simple. Gone are the days when I would spend an ages on my eyeshadow or contour. Don’t get me wrong, if I have the time. I love it. But during the week, I don’t have the luxury of time. Which is why I wanted to share what’s in my everyday makeup bag for a quick and simple makeup look.
HOLLYWOOD FLAWLESS FILTER £32
First up is the bag, and I’ve loved the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter for years now. As you can see, the lettering has worn off my bottle through over use. But I love this product. Maybe it’s because it’s a foundation, complexion enhancer, illuminating primer, and low-key highlighter all in one. Or maybe it’s because nothing makes my skin a glow more than this. But this is a firm staple in my makeup bag. And has been for years.
IT COSMETICS YOUR SKIN BUT BETTER CC CREAM £32.50
Next up is the base and regular readers will know I’m not a fan of a heavy foundation. Which is why the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte is my perfect everyday base. Although it is more of a full-coverage CC cream, it feels incredibly lightweight on the skin. It covers any pigmentation, dark circles, or redness and just gives your skin a lovely soft glow.
TOO FACED BORN THIS WAY CONCEALER £25
Now if you’ve not tried the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer before then it’s worth noting that this a heavy duty concealer. So it’s ideal for those of us who like/need maximum coverage. Which is definitely me. It’s also a multi-purpose one that can be used to conceal, contour, highlight and retouch.
LAURE MERCIER LOOSE FACE POWDER £32
There’s a reason this Laura Mercier loose powder is such an iconic product. it’s light, silky and gives an even coverage without caking. It’s a lovely product and worth the price paid, it feels and looks luxurious and very subtle. Which is what I want from a loose powder.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK CHEEK TO CHIC SWISH AND GLOW BUSHER IN PILLOW TALK £30
I only got this Charlotte Tilbury cheek to chic blusher back in December but it’s been a firm favourite ever since. It gives a gorgeous peachy glow that’s warm but natural while adding a hint of sparkle. I find when using this, I don’t bother with highlighter too. So it’s like having two products in one.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIP OIL £28 AND PILLOW TALK LIP LINER £17
Now these are two separate products, but these are my go to when it comes to a quick and easy everyday makeup look. The pillow talk liner is the perfect your lips but better colour. And the magic lip oil just adds a soft shine to the lips while adding moisture and conditioning the lips.
DOLCE & GABBANA EYE LINER £21
Yes this is a bougie liner to use. I have just as great results with cheaper ones, but this Dolce & Gabbana eye liner is a firm favourite of mine. Mainly because It’s soft-tipped, pigment-rich and offers great colour and intensity. I find it glides effortlessly onto my waterline and doesn’t smudge throughout the day. What more do you need from a kohl pencil?
BEAUTY PIE UBER VOLUME LASH PRIMER £4.74 LANCOME HYPNOSE MASCARA £23
I’ll be honest, I haven’t used a lash primer in YEARS, but I was intrigued by the reviews of this on Beauty Pie and decided to add it to my basket on a whim a couple of months back. And I can’t tell you, how happy I am that I did that. Combined with the Lancome Hypnose Mascara, this duo gives me super long, super voluminous lashes that give them a fake lash effort without the price tag. Plus I find that the formula just glides on,
So there you have it, this is what’s in my everyday makeup bag. Have you spotted any firm favourites? What’s your favourite makeup product to use on a daily basis?
