Easter weekend is almost upon us and like most people out there I cannot wait for the four day weekend. Now everyone has their own Easter traditions but for me it’s about relaxing, seeing friends and family and of course eating my body weight in chocolate eggs! So here is what I’ll be getting up to this weekend.
Watching films
Having the four day weekend means I can catch up on the TV I haven’t seen in ages *(I’m currently on season three of House of Cards so I have a lot of catching up to d0) and the old film favourites that appear on TV every Easter. I just wish I could be watching them on a Panasonic 4K TV to feel like I’m in the cinema rather than in my living room!
Seeing family and friends
Everyone in my family also has the Bank Holiday weekend off which means I get to spend time and see family members that I normally wouldn’t. It’s great to catch up with everyone and the Easter weekend is the perfect excuse to see my family and enjoy a big lunch. With a chocolate egg or two thrown in for good measure, I mean it is Easter after all!
Food, food and more food
Which brings me nicely onto my favourite Easter traditions – the food. Whether that be a traditional fish dinner on Good Friday or a traditional roast dinner on Sumnday, Easter really is about the food for me. Getting to sit around a big table with friends and family and enjoy some delicious food is what Bank Holidays are about. My contribution will be the same cupcakes I made last year. What food are you looking forward to enjoying over the next four days?
So these have been my favourite Easter traditions, what are yours?
