Kate Spade Manhattan Tote

Now I don’t know about you, but sometimes I see something online and it is love at first site. Well this bag was one of those times. I was endless scrolling through TikTok when a video appeared of a woman doing a handbag unboxing. And out popped this beauty. The Kate Spade Manhattan Tote in houndstooth. And my heart skipped a beat. It was absolutely love and first site. The only issue? The Kate spade UK website was sold out. I kept checking the website, day in day out but to no luck.

A couple of months later, I got an email to let me know that the Kate Spade sale was on. So there I was in work, scrolling on the site, when I see the bag. The Kate Spade Manhattan Tote in houndstooth. IN THE SALE! I had no idea the bag was even back in stock as their website had failed to notify me, despite clicking for a notification request. But it didn’t matter. But there was the bag I had lusted over for months. And what’s better it was in the sale!

When I first fell in love with the bag, she was £395. Not my most expensive bag, but definitely a lot to spend on a bag by anyone’s standards. In the sale though, she was, wait for it. £234! So not only had I bagged the dream bag I’d been lusting over for months, but I also got her at £150 less than retail. Let me tell you, it took probably less than 10 seconds for me to add her to my basket and check out.

And here she is in all her glory. Now she is a bigger bag. But I feel like bigger bags are having a moment right now. I mean the success of the Dior Book Tote has definitely seen a rise in these shape and sized bags. And I’m not complaining. I love a bigger bag.

And I love the Kate Spade Manhattan Tote has a longer strap too, so you can wear her over the shoulder. As one of my problems with bigger bags is that I do end up carrying way more in there because of the extra space. Another plus for me is the versatility of the pattern of the bag. It does feel more like an Autumn/Winter bag rather than Spring/Summer one because of the colours. But I love that the houndstooth is such a classic pattern that will go with so many different outfits.
