Best budget buys on the High Street

*This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through a link!*

Now I’m sure I’ve said this before. But I’ll say it again. Despite having a serious shopping and beauty habit. I truly believe that you don’t need to spend a fortune to look good. You really don’t. I mean you can if you want to, and have the money to do so. But for the rest of us, we can still look fab without breaking the bank. Thanks to some amazing budget buys on the High Street.

Sainsbury’s My Hair Matters Smooth and Shine £1.50 each

While Sainsbury’s own brand of haircare might not be your first choice of for shampoo and conditioner. It really should be! Sainsbury’s launched their own range of haircare back in June this year, which is an affordable range designed for individual hair types.

The Smooth and Shine range is perfect for those of us who have unruly flyway’s and wispy ends. As the formula is enriched with cashmere, Keratin, Pro Vitamin B and Wheat Proteins, it’s specifically developed to help hydrate and smooth hair. While locking in moisture and controlling frizz. And that’s more, the bottle sizes are huge for the price!

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash £3.99

Now normally m micellar water of choice is Bioderma. But not only is it hard to get hold of. But it’s also hard to justify the expense when there are so many great micellar waters out there. Like this one from Garnier. But unlike other micellar waters out there, this one is a cleansing gel wash. And it’s fab.

You don’t need to use cotton pads for this, you simply use this like a normal foaming cleanse wash to remove your makeup. And it leaves you skin looking and feeling, refreshed, clean and prepped for the rest of your skincare routine.

Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot Volume Express Mascara £7.99

I don’t know about you. But when it comes to mascara. I want it all. I want a mascara that is going to add length, volume and a seriously dark colour to my lashes. And I don’t know about you, but I really struggle with finding a great one. So many seem to add length, but not volume, or visa versa. But this new mascara from Maybelline is pretty amazing at doing both.

The formula is perfect for adding volume to your lashes from root to tip. It makes my lashes look longer, fuller with an intense black colour that I just love. And best of all, the brush separates my lashes easily and it doesn’t flake throughout the day.

What do you think of these budget buys?

I’ve never really thought to try own brand Shampoo/Conditioner, I guess I just assumed that it wouldn’t be as good but I’ll definitely give it a go sometime xx

I’ve never tried any of these sadly! I find the mascara I use from Nyx is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever used! It’s so cheap and long lasting that I am utterly in love with it. Plus, it’s cruelty free so I’m double chuffed with that!

I love the sound of this micellar water cleansing gel wash, as I usually prefer to wash my face and rinse it.

I’d never normally consider own brand shampoo and conditioner but will definitely give it a try. My bargains are things like Aldi or Lidl baby wipes. That’s how exciting things are here haha!!

Oh I didn’t know garnier did a micellar cleanse, I definitely need to try that out. I’d say the best buys I make on the high street would be my rimmel nude eyeliner and micellar water as I can never be without it x

I think you got some really good buys here. I’m trying to reduce the amount of chemicals in my beauty and skincare products so I’m often looking for clean beauty products. It has become a bit of thrill finding them!
