Now I don’t know about you, but I’m really not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet. Which is why I’m so excited to be heading back on a plane this weekend and jetting to the beautiful country of Portugal for five days of sun, sea, sand and some serious relaxation in one of my favourite destinations. So while I’m busy packing for my little trip, I thought I’d share with you all my holiday makeup bag.
BASE AND CHEEKS
Now when it comes to a foundation, I’m really not a fan of heavy coverage, especially when I’m holiday. Which is why I much prefer the lighter coverage of a CC cream. And the reason why the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-Free Matte version of the iconic CC cream is in my holiday makeup bag. Not only does it deliver great coverage, and a great finish, but it also holds in place throughout the day. Plus, when it’s teamed with the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder, it’s a dream combination. This powder gives the illusion of your pores disappearing. Which is just what I want in the heat.

The Too Faced Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer is in the bag for its amazing coverage. Plus it’s a multi-use product that can be used to conceal, contour, highlight and retouch. While the Nars Orgasm blusher and Laguna bronzer combo is the perfect holiday makeup bag addition. Simply because it combines my two favourite Nars products into one. And the Stila Heaven’s hue highlighter in Bronze is an oldie but a goodie. Perfect for adding that warm golden glow.
EYES AND LASHES
Now let’s start with brows and my product of choice, the Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Brows. Now I love this product for giving me that plumped up brow look without looking like I’ve drawn them on. It fills in any gaps in the brows while the gel works to tint, sculpt and set the brows in place. For the lids, I also went for Charlotte Tilbury and three of her Colour Chameleon Colour-Morphing Eyeshadow Pencils. This is a no-brainer as once they’re on the lids, they don’t budge. Making them the perfect pencil for use in warmer weather. And then for mascara, I couldn’t include the waterproof version of one of my favourites – the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Ideal for giving me that false lash look effect while not budging the heat.

LIPS AND PERFUME
I’m not sure I could find a colour better suited to summer than this one from YSL beauty. The coral shade is perfect for wearing in the sunshine. And the only perfume I take abroad with me is this one from Marc Jacobs. I picked it up in Sephora last time I was in Portugal and it’s the perfect perfume to travel with. The rollerball means it’s easy to apply and the fact it’s less than 100mls means it can go on the plane with me.

So that’s what’s in my holiday makeup bag. What products can you not live without on holiday?
