Best blogging apps

Best blogging apps

I’ve been blogging now for two years and one of the things that has helped me maintain and run a daily blog, whilst working full time, is by using apps. So here are my pick of the best blogging apps.

WordPress

My blog platform is WordPress so this app is vital for me. I can draft posts, add in pictures I’ve taken with my iPhone or iPad, and schedule posts. Without this I would be a little lost. It just makes things a lot easier and also means I can blog on the go. So whilst I’m commuting in work or on my lunch break I know I can always blog.

Photo Editor +

I take a lot of photos on my phone, and I love to use this app to add different effects to the images. Most of the pictures I take for my blog, I use a proper camera for. But for my social media channels, it’s all about the iPhone, which is why apps like these are amazing at adding in effects and making my pictures looks more interesting.

Instagram

It’s hard to think when I started blogging, Instagram wasn’t what it is today. I now use it as a source of traffic to my site, as well as a place to follow fellow bloggers and vloggers. It’s a great source of inspiration, as well as giving people an insight into my life.

Twitter

I must check twitter at least ten times a day, if not more. It’s one of the primary ways that I promote my blog, and although I schedule most of my tweets, it’s handy to have to keep up to date with fellow bloggers and vloggers.

A Beautiful Mess

This is one of my favourite photo editing apps, simply because it really does make your pictures look beautiful by adding in different effects and textures. It can also play around the lighting to really create stunning pictures.

Pages

Now that my blog is on Facebook I use Pages a lot more to manage the posts, reply to followers, and answer any questions people have. It’s also incredible useful to see the stats of each post, and work out which ones are being seen by more people, and which ones are providing the most engagement.

What apps do you rely on for blogging?

I don’t really do a lot of blogging from my phone, I just use it for social media to stay in touch
