My favourite drugstore cream eyeshadows

Favourite drugstore cream eyeshadows

My favourite drugstore cream eyeshadows

Cream eyeshadows are a staple part of my makeup collection. In fact anything that requires minimal input but maximum impact is a staple part of my makeup collection. And some of my favourites are from the drugstore. Again proving that you don’t need to spend a lot of money for great products.

And when it comes to cream eyeshadows from the drugstore two brands really stand out for me – Maybelline and Max Factor. From Maybelline you have their EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadows. While we don’t have as many shades on offer as America, there are enough in the drugstore for you to be able to pick your favourite. As you can see from the picture, my favourites are On and On Bronze, Pink Gold and Light in Purple. Though having checked the Boots website I don’t think the Pink and Blue are available anymore. although Metallic Pomegranate and Everlasting Navy look similar. With a range of shimmery shades, the creamy formula of these eyeshadows lasts from day to night on my lids. For a more subtle look you can use your fingers to blend, or use a brush for a bolder, dramatic look.

The Excess Shimmer pots from Max Factor are very similar. Though their formula is a little more mousse-like, which is easier to apply with a brush rather than your fingers. But like the Maybelline cream eyeshadows, once applied these stay in place all day.

What are your favourite cream eyeshadows?

I don’t actually EVER wear eyeshadow. Sometimes I feel like I am committing a big beauty sin by not wearing eyeshadow. I have a Naked palette and just NEVER use it, so have definitely never used a cream eyeshadow. The consistency of these though look gorgeous judging from your swatches

I shy away from cream eye shadows because they tend to rub off quite quickly. Love these colours though.

I adore the Colour Tattoos so, so much! Here in Australia they never really extended the range too much past the original release shades, which is such a bummer as they are an amazing product. x

I’m not usually a huge fan of eyeshadows but after purchasing these I have feel in love! I have the shades ‘rose gold’ and ‘on and on bronze’ which are both my go-to eye products 🙂
