For today’s post I thought I’d do something a little different. It seems there’s been an influx of blogging tips and advice posts over the past year or so. Which is why I wanted to do something a little different and hand this post to fellow bloggers to share the best blogging advice they’ve been given. For me the best blogging advice has been “not to compare myself to anyone else in the blogging world, we’re all on our own journeys and you’re only in competition with yourself.”

“Always be true to yourself, being inspired by others reflects in your posts. Readers will read your blog, because of you.”
Anisha, Fashion and Frappes
“Blog at regular intervals. We now put up a blog post every 3 days and it’s made a lot of difference. Our readers know what to expect and it keeps us on track as well!”
Mika La-French Connection
“My blog is only two months old and the best blogging advice that I have been given is to stay true to myself and to only post things that I like as trying to please the maximum of people is the best way to be a miserable blogger. Also, on a more technical level, I was advised to create an account on every social network even if I did not intend to use it straight away. That way, I was sure that there wouldn’t be anyone using the name of my blog to create their account.”
Cath Pickles Worzel Wooface
“Write! Write every day! Establish your voice and develop it. Don’t worry about attracting any visitors – you want to the ones who want to read what you write so be true to yourself.”
Georgia Big Fashion Talk
“Don’t forget to have fun with it!! Sometimes we forget why we started blogging in the first place.”
Katy Stevens Katy Kicker
“Don’t be put off by others as there will always be similar content out there, just write what you know and you’ll be fine!”
Helen HelsBels
“The best piece of advice I’ve been given is not to force content when you don’t feel it. So many bloggers stress about sticking to a rigorous schedule and I was advised just to write when you have something to say. Don’t blog just for the sake of it because it will seem forced.”
So what’s the best blogging advice you’ve been given?

I really agree with the advice to write every day. You don’t need to publish every day but you need to write, develop your own style, practice, .. When you do something so much, your love for it will grow and you’ll get better which for me means that the more I write, the more inspiration I have. It’s been a lovely journey so far! Thank you for these tips!

Lovely inspiration! Thanks for sharing : ) x
This is such great advice, especially the writing every day one 🙂 Lovely post! Xx
Lovely post, loved hearing different perspectives! The best advice I’ve probably recieved is to keep in mind why you started. That always keeps me motivated!

These are so helpful! I think the best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to keep reading other blogs – as thats usually what gets people into blogging anyway! x
I definitely agree that the best bit of advice you could give or be given it not to compare yourself to other bloggers – “don’t compare your page 2 to someone else’s page 100”. So relevant in the blogging world 🙂 some really nice pearls of wisdom here!

What a lovely post! There is a lot to be said for writing every day. Even if I don’t write actual posts I made sure to make notes and jot down intros when they pop into my head! Makes it so much easier when it comes to getting going x
