Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Treatment Primer

When it comes to haircare, one of my biggest concerns is heat damage. Ever since I discovered hair straighteners almost 15 years ago a day hasn’t gone by when I haven’t used them at least once on my hair. I’ve put my hair through a lot. Daily blow drying, daily straightening or curling iron usage, plus I get my hair coloured every few months. Which is why when it comes to haircare I need products that will help to make my hair look and feel healthier. Which is why I love this new primer from Redken.

The Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer Treatment Cream is the newest product in their award winning Pillow Proof Blow Dry Collection and it’s a genius idea. I mean we prime our faces before applying makeup to ensure a flawless application so why aren’t we priming our hair to protect our locks against heat damage?

This new cream is designed for thick or coarse hair that needs extra manageability – which mine always does. Especially as we head towards summer and the warmer weather. It was also help to leave your hair three times stronger and healthier making it easier to manage and style – which is pretty impressive!

I love that this primer reduces the blow-dry time, while also protecting my hair up to a heat of 230˚. I’ve been using this treatment for about a week now and find that not only does it make it easier to style my hair, it also keeps the style after sleeping on it – which is exactly what I want from this kind of product.

I also love that this product comes in a smaller size. I find it’s better for travelling and taking to the gym, rather than having to carry the larger one around.

The Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer Treatment Cream is available from their website for £17.

Have you tried a blow dry primer before?

I need to try this out! Straightens are the best invention ever but my hair does pay the price.

This sounds like an excellent product if you have thick hair. Reducing the blow dry time will help protect the hair too.

Loving the sound of this! Indeed, a product that makes drying my hair quicker and protects it against the bad kind of bed head sounds like a winner to me *adds to shopping list*

    Thanks for sharing!

Totally need this in my life, have been trying to cut down the amount of straightening to try and give it a chance to recover from the heat damage!
