Adding colour with wall art

wall art

I’m not sure if it’s just because I’m craving some sunshine and warm weather. But I’m pretty obsessed with adding a tropical feel to my space at the moment. So much so that I’ve been working on a little wall art project for the past couple of months. And the centerpiece arrived a couple of weeks ago. And to say I’m in love, would be an understatement. Personally, I think every wall would benefit from a 3 ft flamingo print. But that’s just me.

But seriously, I am in love with this print. I first started working on my gallery wall late last year. It started with some prints above my dressing table. I’ve always bought pictures and prints but found that I didn’t really do anything with them. So I decided to create a small feature wall above the dressing table.  The two Vogue prints are a find from a trip to Lille a few years back now. The three Warhol prints are from a Warhol exhibition that I went to about 15 years ago(!). The Effiel tower print is actually a postcard from Paperchase. While the Love print is from Desino.

And Desino is actually where the two huge banana leaf prints are from too. But the flamingo is definitely the centerpiece for me. I love that the prints are all completely different. But actually seem to work well together. The flamingo print is from Barker and Stonehouse which is just the cutest homeware destination. They have shops up and down the country, but their site is full of beautiful pieces. I’ve already got my eye on so much!

You can find the flamingo print on the Barker and Stonehouse website.

What do you think of my feature wall? Do you like the mixture of prints? Do you have a feature wall in your home?
