Happy Saturday everyone! Now I have to admit this is probably my favourite day of the week! It’s the start of the weekend, time to do exactly what you want for the next two days before Monday rolls around again. But what to do on a Saturday? Sometimes I find Saturdays are my most productive days. I mean Sunday is the day of rest right? But then at other times I seem to have incredibly lazy Saturdays and then panic that I’ve missed out or wasted my day off. So here are five awesome things to do on a Saturday.
Start a project
For me I find Saturdays can be pretty productive. Which is why I think it’s a great day to start a project. Whether that’s taking more pictures for a photo album your’re creating. Or working on a blog. Use the time to focus on you and what makes you happy.
Pamper yourself
Whether you’re going to do an at home facial, or give yourself a manicure. A Saturday is the perfect time to pamper yourself. After all who doesn’t love a pamper. And if you really want to pamper yourself, then you could treat yourself to a salon treatment. Or go all out and treat yourself to a spa day! My friends and I do this once every few months and in my opinion it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday.
Pilates
This is a new one for me this January but I now love my Saturday morning Pilates classes. Not only is a chance to clear my head before the weekend really starts. But it’s also a great exercise to build your core strength. Plus as it’s in the morning, I’m done by 10.15 ready to enjoy the rest of my Saturday.
Have a film marathon
Sometimes you need to have a lazy day at the weekend. Especially if the weather outside is horrible. Which is why I love to have duvet days where all I do is watch movies. Now you could go for a trilogy to watch. Or you could watch a whole Netflix series. As long as I have my duvet, something good to watch and some snacks I’m happy.
Bake
I personally think cake can solve most things. Which is why Saturdays really should be made for baking. You can spend time in the kitchen creating all sorts of wonderful cakes. I’m currently working my way through the Lola Cupcakes book. And the best bit? Once you’ve made them, you then get to eat them!
What awesome things do you have planned for today?

Definitely one for a film marathon or a netflix series. Today i completely chilled out and watched the first Trainspotting, then binged on Ray Donovan! xx
Baking, pamper the movie marathon on a Sunday sounds perfect to me!
Today I actually did loads of tidying up and got sorted for the year ahead! xxx
Fab post. I tend to catch up on work over the weekend.
I love all of these suggestions but my favourite is the movie marathon; preferably old musicals along with some sweet treats…maybe even that freshly baked cake x
Very good ideas for the weekend. I used to bake bread on sundays when I lived in London, but now I don’t have the time anymore.
