Are you guilty of beauty hoarding?

Are you guilty of beauty hoarding

There aren’t many things that I like to hang on to, in fact I really don’t place a lot of sentimental value onto my belongings. When it comes to clothing I can be pretty ruthless with throwing out clothes that I haven’t worn in six months. But when it comes to beauty I just can’t throw things away. It’s official I’m guilty of being a beauty hoarder.

I have more blushes, foundations, mascaras and eye shadows than I could use. Although I am lucky enough to be sent products to review, I do buy as much, if not more than I’m sent. Even if I didn’t write this beauty blog, I’m sure my spending habits would be similar. It’s not the money I have an issue with. After all, if you can afford why no? There are far worse things to spend money on, but it’s the need to hang onto certain products for no real reasons that bothers me.

I worry that owning as many nude lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes as I do will become overwhelming. As someone who loves a clear, organised space having drawers and drawers and more drawers filled with beauty products should freak me out. But it doesn’t.

Every now and then I do have a clear out. And if the product has changed in fragrance, texture or consistency then I’m quick to get rid of it. But otherwise, the products stay in my drawers only to be used occasionally. I mean I do only have one face, yet enough makeup to do makeovers on hundreds if not thousands of fellow beauty enthusiasts. But what can I say, I love beauty products.

Are you guilty of being a beauty hoarder?

I don’t use many products, so I don’t think I’m very guilty of this, but I’m sure if I looked through my drawers I’d find things I never use and should really throw out!

I am a major beauty hoarder – I recently had a clear out but still have drawers of make up – I have more nude palettes than I could ever use and a collection of nail varnishes, of which half have never been touched!

I used to try not to think of it as hoarding because of ‘being a blogger’ and it being fairly manageable in size. Recently I’m trying to downside as it’s just ridiculous how many I have. I’m constantly trying to reassess what I have and would rather pass on to friends and family who would get pleasure from the products.

In fact my mum is off on a girls weekend next week and I’ve given her a bag of beauty bits for her and her friends to rummage through.

I dont’ hoard necessarily, but I do hold onto product I know I won’t be using again which is a bad habit!

Maybe I’m a beauty hoarder? I don’t know. I love trying new things and I hate throwing things away because I hope I will find a use for them again.

I am a total beauty hoarder. I have multiple eyeshadow palettes, blushes, lipsticks, etc. I am a total beauty nut. Although I try to put myself on a budget, I sometimes do end up splurging.
    Great post!

I was a major beauty hoarder towards the end of my teenage years but last year I decided to have a major clear out of it all. I was throwing away products that I had no recollection of using let alone buying. Now I just have a drawer worth of make up which is probably excessive to some but at least it’s now stuff I actually use.

I try so hard not to be a beauty hoarder, but I know that I am. I will ever need my huge array of red lipsticks!

I’m a total beauty hoarder! Definitely guilty of keeping products that I no longer use, or dislike. But as a blogger I now feel as it’s somewhat acceptable but I know deep down i’m just justifying my obsession for makeup, haha!

Love this post- so glad I’m not the only hoarder! I got talked into writing a blog because of all the products I bought. I figured I might as well try to keep up my writing skills fromy school…lol! And, sadly, I still buy products, too!

You can always send some to me, I am always on the look out for nude shades 😉 Why don’t you set up a shop and sell off your unwanted products instead of them going to waste?
