Summer is well and truly over now. The evenings are getting darker earlier, the leaves are changing colours and Spiced Pumpkin Lattes are back in Starbucks. Yes, it’s Autumn. And for me, I love Autumn. I love the chance to get out my chunky knit jumpers and don my favourite suede boots. But this Autumn I’ve decided to glam things up a little.
I’m trying to step out of my comfort zone when it comes to fashion. And move away from my usual uniform of jeans, jumper and boots. So here is one of my favourite outfit to wear at the moment that is full of colour and rather Autumnal. And it’s from a brand that is new to me – Apricot Clothing.
Their website is full of amazing pieces that are incredibly affordable and beautiful. Like this gorgeous teal coloured layered skirt. I’ve teamed this with a navy jumper from Primark and my new favourite shoes from Dune.
I have to say this is a step away form the norm for me. I’m used to wearing my jeans but I love this skirt. It’s so easy to wear and I can see myself wearing this through to Winter with a pair of black tights and heels. It’s great for brightening up an outfit in the office, or for a night out. But equally you could wear this with a t-shirt and converse for a more relaxed look.
And I love how comfortable it is to wear. Normally skirts end up riding up on me, but this one sits perfectly. And at it’s knee length it hides of my least favourite features – my knees! But I like that the layered detailed allows a little bit of skin to still show through.

Really cool outfit. The colours are lovely together, and definitely suit you. I really like the fact that the slip on the skirt is a little shorter than the outer, so you get that lovely see-through stripe effect.

That skirt was made for you!! It looks absolutely fantastic and the colour is exquisite. You could easily dress this up for an occasion too but it looks fab dressed down a little with the jumper.
