When it comes to the wonderful world of beauty there are so many different tricks and tips. In fact there are probably too many right? Which makes it hard to work out which ones you really need to know. Which ones you should know. And which ones really won’t change your life. Well given my undeniable obsession with all things beauty. I thought I’d put together my pick of seven quick and easy beauty tips you need to know. And yes, they may just change your life:
- Suffer with dry feet? Don’t spend money on expensive foot creams, just coat your feet in body oil and pop on some cotton socks before heading to bed. When you wake up in the morning even the driest of feet will be silky smooth and so so soft
- To ensure your hair grips stay in place, spritz them with a little hairspray before putting into your hair
- Speaking of hair grips, are you using them correctly? I wasn’t until someone pointed out to me that for extra grip, inset the grip textured side down. Who knew that?
- Want super soft lips? Don’t spend money on lip exfoliators, just use a clean toothbrush to exfoliate your lips and get rid of all the dry bits
- A toothbrush is also perfect for smoothing down hair or gently teasing and back combing your hair
- Want natural volume in your hair? Just mix a little sea salt into your shampoo with every wash
- Finally did you know that cold water will help to quickly set your nail polish, while warm water will remove any mistakes you’ve made?
I hope you found these useful! Let me know of any other beauty tips that may change my life in the comments below!

Some good tips here. I recommend when doing eye makeup to do it first. This is to prevent drop down. If you have spent ages getting your makeup flawless last thing you want is having to start over again x
Great tips! I hadn’t actually heard of a few of these before. The cold water setting your nails is something I’ll have to try.
How have I not ever heard of using a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips or to smooth down your flyaways before? Love these tips!
Good tips, but I’m not sure I’ll be mixing sea salt with my shampoo, will just have to live with very fine and volumless hair

I get chapped lips all the time and I use a toothbrush which helps to exfoliate the dead skin!
I had no idea about the cold water, I will have to try that next time I do my nails.

I didn’t know about the hot and cold water thing on nail polish, thanks for the tip x
Ooh great tips! I had no idea about the difference in water temps for your nail polish. I also really like the tip of sea salt for volume. x
Rinsing your hair after washing with cold water helps seal the cuticles meaning shiny hair, too 🙂
Loved this post, mainly because i’m laughing at myself! I definitely know a fair few of these, but instead I’ve completely chosen to put them to the back of my brain, and spend money when really I don’t need to!
xx
These are fabulous! Iknew the toothbrush for smoothing hair, bit my favourite has together spraying my hair grips! Thank you
Great tips. The nail varnish one is something I must try for myself. I heard about the cold water to set but didn’t know warm water helped fix mistakes.
You had me at quick and easy – great tips!
I consider myself quite the beauty junkie but had never thought of a couple of these! Definitely need to try the body oil/sock combo before my next holiday and I’m going to have to give the sea salt/shampoo trick a go! Great post!
