Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

As a Benefit mascara fan, I couldn’t wait to receive the latest issue of Elle through my letterbox, as I knew inside was a sample of the much hyped new Roller Lash mascara from Benefit.

It’s not often that I get excited about a new mascara, but as a big fan of the original Bad Gal Lash followed by one of my all-time favourites, They’re Real, I was very eager to try this one out.

As you can see from the packaging, and the name, the Benefit Roller Lash mascara pays homage to the retro feel of pink hair rollers. The mascara has been created to grip onto the eyelashes, pull them upwards, curl, coat and set. The brush head is curved, making it ideal for smaller eyes and the wand features tiny hooks that grip onto the smallest eyelashes, pulls them upwards and encourages them to cur. The idea being that you can now ditch the eyelash curlers. And you know what, you can.

I found that this mascara opened up my eyes, without the need of my regular eyelash curlers. It lengthened, added volume and separated my lashes perfectly and the lightweight formula means that it won’t weigh your lashes down. The formula is pretty wet, but doesn’t cause smudging or flaking on the lashes. The only downside to this, is that due to the shape of the brush, it doesn’t suit my bottom lashes. But I normally use a separate mascara for my bottom lashes anyway.

Overall, once I’ve used up the mini sample, I’ll be waiting at my local Benefit counter to buy the full sized version when it goes on sale in March.

What are your thoughts on Benefit mascaras? Have you tried this? Will you be trying it once it’s launche

I love Benefit mascara and can’t wait for this to be released, especially since I live in the only town that doesn’t seem to stock Elle magazine “/

I have seen this on another blog, and I seriously can not wait…. mascara is the one thing I can not live without…. and curling at the same time… WOW. Now I wear glasses full time, my eyes look so small, so opening my eyes up more is a must!
