Dolce & Gabbana Dolce Perfume Review

I think I may have found my new favourite fragrance, the new Dolce Perfume from Dolce & Gabbana*. For the past few years I’ve switched between two scents, Chloe by Chloe and Daisy by Marc Jacobs and if you love either of those, then you will love this scent.

So let’s start with the packaging, I really love the size of the bottle, it’s not too big meaning that it won’t clutter your dressing table, and it’s also small enough to fit into a medium sized handbag for when you are out and about. Although, having worn this solidly now for a few weeks now, I find that this perfume lasts really well throughout the day and I can still smell it on my skin and clothes a good eight hours after first applying. So while it is small enough to fit into your day bag, you probably won’t need to take it with you.

Moving onto the bottle itself and in it just screams spring flowers, the lid is a really cute cream flower with a black bow around the neck of the bottle. And in keeping with the spring floral theme, the bottle is a pale green colour, that compliments the cream lid, black bow and black writing really well.

Now for the important part, what does it actually smell of? Well, as mentioned earlier, I am a big fan of Chloe and Daisy and I really think that if you like either of those, you will like Dolce by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s a heavy fragrance, but the fresh floral tones allow it to be worn as a daytime scent. To me, it’s a very soft and feminine fragrance, with hints of papaya flower, white amaryllis, waterflower and musk. It’s currently sitting on my desk as I write this and although I have it on, I can’t help picking the bottle up, taking the lid off and smelling it, like some kind of perfume addict who needs another hit. I just can’t get enough of this scent.

Interested in trying it? You can pick up a bottle from the Fragrance Direct website.

Have you tried this fragrance? What did you think? What are your favourite spring scents?
