Happy New Year

I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone and what a difference 12 months make. I don’t share a whole lot of my personal life on here, but 2016 did not start well for me. Before January finished I was ready for the year to be over. And nobody is more shocked than me at how sad I am for this year to be ending. What started terribly has turned into a fabulous year for me! I’ve achieved things this year that I just didn’t think were possible.

And if there’s one thing 2016 has taught me, it’s not to underestimate myself. Life only gives you as much as you can handle. And I’m stronger than I thought I was. I also don’t give myself enough credit for my accomplishments. I may not be exactly where I thought I’d be at this stage of my life. But I’m a lot further ahead than I was last year. And that’s something I should be proud of.

Whatever your hopes, goals and challenges are for 2017. Just know that if you set your mind to it – you can achieve whatever you want. For me saving money and getting myself into a better financial position was top of my list. And as you may have seen from this post, I’ve worked really hard to make that happen! I also wanted to address my fitness. In January I joined a gym and started the couch to 5k app. 12 months later I might not be ready for a marathon just yet, but I’m a more confident runner. And I can’t wait to enter my first race.

Next year my goals are to:

  • Continue to save for a house deposit
  • Address my diet
  • Take my blog to the next level

What are your hopes, goals and dreams for 2017? What do you want to achieve over the next 12 months?

I love making goals, too! I have started a bullet journal which will hopefully help me achieve my goals. I also need to address my diet… It’s SO hard but can do it! I am going to try the couch to 5k, I did try last year but only did a week of it, I don’t know why because I actually quite enjoyed that week! xx

Got few goals for new year but main one is passing my driving and move out from parents again! Lovely post – positive to hear what started badly can get better. It’s mostly about your attitude x
