Now if you’re new to the luxury goods market, or just not sure about the lingo. Then let me explain that a SLG is a small leather good. And it’s a great entry-level product if you’re not keen on splashing some serious cash on handbags or other accessories. For me, I find a key pouch, cardholder, or coin purse to be one of my most used pieces. Mainly due to the fact that they’re small, compact, and can hold a surprising amount of cards and coins for when you’re out and about. But don’t necessarily want to carry a handbag with you. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to my newest SLG, The Louis Vuitton Key Pouch.

Now, let me first start by saying that I’ve wanted this key pouch for a while now. I was going to treat myself to it late last year, but didn’t. And believe me I really regretted that decision when the price jumped from £145 to £175 at the start of this year! So when I saw it was back in stock on their website one morning, I knew I needed it in my life. And I’m so glad I brought it.

It’s smaller than my Mulberry Coin Purse but bigger than my YSL cardholder. I can fit 4-6 cards in there, some notes and coins, house keys, and my car key can attach to the key chain. It’s perfect if I’m just nipping to the shops, or out and about and don’t want the hassle of a handbag.

Now the Louis Vuitton Key Pouch comes in a variety of finishes. I’ve gone for the Damier Ebene version. But it also comes in monogram and Damier Azur Canvas. Or there are slightly larger sizes in Monogram Vernis Leather, Epi Leather, and Empreinte Leather. Honestly the style and finish it down to personal preference. For me, I knew I wanted it in Damier Ebene Canvas.

Price-wise this is the most expensive SLG I own. My YSL Cardholder came in at £130 and the Mulberry Coin Purse was £145. But for £175 I do think it’s good value. Considering how much you can fit in there. Plus the key chain option to attach it to bags etc. Also, those I know who have this, always comment on how well they wear.

So if you want to add the Louis Vuitton Key Pouch to your collection then I suggest you check their website, as this style is always going in and out of stock. You can find the key pouch on their site here.

I just got one too! I picked the monogram and absolutely love it, mine matches my Louis Vuitton cards holder and so glad I invested in both
