Mixing up your foundation with MUA

MUA Customer Colour Foundation Mixers

I don’t know about everyone else. But finding the right foundation shade can almost be as hard as trying to find the right pair of jeans. It doesn’t help that the lighting in a shop is completely different to sunlight. I’ve lost count of the amount of times a foundation shade looked great in the shop. Only to walk outside and realise it’s about five shades too dark for my skin. The struggle is real! Which is why I was so excited to try these new Custom Colour Foundation Mixers from MUA.

These clever little tubes help you customise your foundation shade throughout the changing seasons. I’m sure we all have our favourite foundations that we love to use. And unless you’re willing to buy it in a range of different shades to match your skin tone as it changes throughout the year. Chances are you’re limited to when you can use it. Which is why these little rubes are brilliant. They make it so easy to use your favourite foundation throughout the whole year!

There are four shades to choose from – Cool, Warm, Medium and Dark. And to use, you simple apply a few drops to your existing foundation shade and mix it together. I find the back of my hand works well for this! You then just apply your foundation like normal.

The MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixers are only £4 each. Personally I think these are great value for money considering you can continue to wear the same foundation shade throughout the year. Just add the drops when you need to warm it up or cool it down depending on the seasons.

You can pick up the MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixers here.

What do you think of these MUA Custom Colour Foundation Mixers? Is this something you’d use throughout the year?

I was just reading a comparison of MUA foundation to Estee Lauder this morning and people were singing it’s praises – so much cheaper and just as good!

I usually use a tinted moisturiser as am never too sure about foundation as it is something that can make or break your make up, you see so many people with the wrong shade I am scared I will be one of them. This is something that may change the way I think about foundation x

They seem really good value for money! I hate spending a lot on foundation and either it isn’t the right shade or my skin changes and then it isn’t right!

This is a brilliant way to be able to continue using your foundation throughout the year. Not having to buy different shades of foundation for different seasons would save money, not to mention the time in trying to find that new shade of foundation.

I bought something similar to this from NYX in the white as I have a few foundations which are a little too dark for me and it’s helped make them wearable x

I was looking at something similar by the body shop which was around £10 but didn’t know if it would work. For £4 these are worth a try as if they are no good, you haven’t wasted lots of money x

These look great – I haven’t tried any lightening or deepening drops ever as they are all too expensive – this would be great x

These sound great for the price point. I’m always concerned about foundations when I’ve been in the sun and a little tanned but can’t necessarily justify buying multiple versions in the relevant shades as I think it’d be a waste. These are perfect for adding to those foundations I have if I need to darken things up.

What a fabulous idea – I’m forever swapping foundations depending on how much of a tan I have and for the in-between times it never looks quite right! Really love this idea

I have a normal foundation and a fake tanned foundation but I still sometimes need something in between so these would be great. I love the price of them too, they’re such a bargain!

This is such a good idea and they’re so cheap too. I’ve found the foundation for me but I’ve definitely had the whole issue of accidentally buying too orange shades many times in the past… x

Ooh I love that they enable you to be able to switch up your foundation colour. This would be ideal for me as I’m often travelling and tanned then pale! xxx
