Newest makeup brushes

My newest makeup brushes

I was feeling a little spendy last month and decided I needed to buy three new makeup brushes. As you do. Because you can never have too many makeup brushes right?  So here’s are my newest makeup brushes:

MAC 187 brush

This wasn’t the cheapest brush but it’s well worth the money. You can use this for powders or foundations but I love to use it for blushers. The synthetic bristles pick up just the right of blusher which you can then use to blend perfectly onto the cheeks. It’s also a good contouring brush as you can really get into the hollows (or create hollows) of your cheek bones.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

Having used the Buffering Brush from Real Techniques for years, I was eager to see what the hype was surrounding the Expert Face Brush. But having tried this myself I can see why people prefer the Expert Face Brush. For me, I found the small domed head helped to apply foundation around the nose and under the eyes. It’s small enough to get to these tough to reach places but big enough to provide an airbrushed finish whether you’re applying cream or liquid foundation. You can also control the build-up in areas that require a higher level of coverage. This is honestly the best £10 I’ve spent in a long time.

Real Techniques Concealer Brush

This is my new favourite concealer brush. It’s so easy to use and the slanted edge helps to apply the concealer smoothly for a flawless finish, which is what I need, as my dark circles are stubborn! For £8.99 this is such an affordable concealer brush and if you’re a fan of the Real Techniques range then you’ll love this.

What are your favourite makeup brushes?

I have a foundation brush similar to the Expert Face Brush. I really like the dense dome shaped, very easy to blend BB cream and creates great coverage. So much better than the flat foundation brush.
