Now I’m pretty sure that along with shoes and lipstick, women can’t have enough makeup brushes. Well I certainly can’t. My collection seems to be growing by the day. And I have to say that the majority of my brushes are from Real Techniques. Back when I first started blogging and watching YouTube videos, the Pixiwoo girls were some of my favourites. So when they first launched their range of Real Techniques brushes, I couldn’t resist picking some up. Now I think I have pretty much every brush they’ve ever bought one. I’ve even doubled up on some of my favourites!
So when I saw they launched a new range, I couldn’t wait to try them. And I’m definitely not disappointed. They’re very similar to the Bold Metals brushes from a few years back. The handles feel and look the same. But rather than the metal finish, these have luxurious blue tones to them. But the bristles do feel different. They’re so much softer. And they’ve been designed specifically for use with powder makeup.
I have to say I’ve fallen in love with these brushes. I love how soft they feel, how different they look, and how amazing they perform with powder makeup. Here’s what’s in the collection:

With the large tapered head, this Soft Powder Brush is perfect for a flawless application of powder bronzers and highlighters.
Real Techniques PowderBleu B02 Soft Finishing Brush £22

Real Techniques PowderBleu B03 Soft Complexion Brush £22

This is probably one of my favourite brushes from the whole range and the one I know I’ll use the most. The doomed, dense head is perfect for blending and buffing powder foundations onto your skin for a buildable finish.
Real Techniques PowderBleu B04 Soft Shadow Brush £15

Again, although this brush is designed to gently layer and blend your powder eyeshadows. I think the tapered precision head of this brush would make it perfect for blending in concealers, or adding highlighter to your brow bone or chin.
Real Techniques PowderBleu B05 Soft Kabuki Brush £25

Real Techniques PowderBleu Plush Powder Puff £12

I love the vintage feel of this powder puff. I feel like you don’t see a lot of these anymore but this one is fab for tapping on the right amount of powder to set your makeup look.
You can find the complete range here.

Oh wow, such a beautiful set.. I love the colouring of them, very different for Real Techniques but it looks really glamorous!
I love the colour of this range and love that they have a powder puff now too, my oily skin demands one! Great post xxx

Oh now this is such a gorgeous set, check out the colour of it, they look like a really premium brush product!
This set is awesome. I too like using different makeup brushes. Thanks for sharing your insightful thoughts on each item 🙂
I don’t have a makeup kit yet, because I’m still too lazy to put on makeup, but it’s good to know which products are good for when I decide to have one.
Real Technique brushes are fab – I use a mix of these and MAC ones.
These look like beautiful brushes, I think maybe I should treat myself to a set.
Aha! A makeup I actually know! Although I’m not sure how… I think my wife used to use their stuff? Didn’t know there were new items coming out. Definitely going to let her know!
These look so much more elegant than the standard real techniques collection. I’ve just bought myself a new set of brushes so I really need to have a clear out of some of my older ones x
The Real Techniques brushes are so good. I wasn’t aware of a new range though, may have to treat myself!
I actually need some make up brushes as currently I only have one and I have to use my fingers.
Oh my gosh! I want these so bad! I didn’t want the bold metal collection but this is definitely up my street.
