As I’m sure most of you know, I’m a big fan of gel nails. Having spent years getting my nails done professionally every few weeks in the salon, I’ve started to venture into the world of at home gel kits. There are some great ones out there on the market and having sworn by the SensatioNail kits for a few years now, I think I have a new favourite in the form the Red Carpet Manicure Starter Kit.
The reason I love this kit so much is not only do they have a great selection of colours that are on trend and wearable, but the kit is so easy and quick to use. For starters, you don’t need a base or top coat. You still need to lightly buff the nail and remove any traces of nail polish, but once you’ve done that, you can apply two coats of the colour straight onto the nail. Just cure the nail between each coat and then you’re good to go. I can now do my gel nails in under 20 minutes. Which is just amazing really and perfect for someone like me who is short on time. Plus they last on my nails for a good 10 days before chipping, and are very easy to remove when you want to apply a new colour.
I currently have three of their shades – Headliner which is a pillar box red that came with the starter kit, Star Struck which is a gorgeous shimmery red and my favourite Raunchy Rumor which is a lovely deep purple colour. All three colours are perfect for this time of year and I’ve already ordered a few paler colours for Spring.
If you’ve never tried a at home gel kit before but are tempted by one, then this is the kit to go for. Inside the kit, you get the LED light, a polish, nail polish remover, foils to remove your nails, lint free nail wipes, a buffing block and orangewood sticks. It’s so quick and easy to use and the results last for around two weeks.

The only reason I get mine done at the salon is because they last around 6 weeks. But these colours are beautiful x
I really do need to get my nail act together. I hardly ever do a mani, but when I do I’m always delighted with the results, apart from the fact that the colour seems to chip from day 1 (that’s probably down to me being a bit clumsy though!). Love the Raunchy Rumor too. Such a perfect xmas shade. Tx
