Worth the hype? Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder

Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder

When it comes to beautiful makeup products and even more beautiful packaging. It doesn’t get much better than Rodial. Their skincare and makeup range are to die for. And while I may be a little late to the game, I’ve finally tried the much-hyped, and much loved, Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder. If you’re not familiar with this powder, or you’re just as late to the game as I am. Here is why you need this in your makeup collection.

Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder

Although it’s technically a highlighter, it’s way more than a regular highlighter. It’s a mattifying powder that can be used to set your makeup or contour your face by using the ‘baking’ makeup trend. You can use it after applying foundation to prevent it from setting into any fine lines. Or to reduce the appearance of an oily complexion. Or you can use it as a highlight to enhance your facial contours with a mattified finish.

Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder

Personally I like to use this powder to set my concealer and foundation in place and ensure my dark circles are well and truly hidden. I just apply a generous layer to my under eye area, wait for the powder to ‘bake’ and then lightly dust off any excess. I find the powder is incredibly lightweight to wear and stays in place throughout the day without caking or looking too heavy. And as the powder is yellow, it seems to suit most skin tones. I’ve also found this powder is brilliant at reducing redness – which I suffer from quite badly.

So is it worth the hype? I think so. It’s not cheap at £44.20 but I do love the results I get. Plus the packaging is just so beautiful!

The Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder costs £44.20 and is available from LookFantastic.

What do you think of the Rodial Instaglam Compact Deluxe Banana Powder? What powders do you like to use?

At £52 I would expect it to be more than amazing! Makeup Revolution’s Banana powder is fab and it is only £5 x

I have so much to learn about makeup – I sometime think people must look at my feeble attempts at foundation and despair! This sounds an amazing product though – I love the idea that it bakes and you get rid of excess. As you say, the packaging is beautiful.

Omg, I can’t believe how expensive that is! I have heard Rodial are a good brand but I have never personally tried anything by them.. and I just couldn’t justify that price in January. I actually bought the Ben Nye banana powder – you should try it it’s much cheaper!

I’ve never understood why make up is that expensive or why people pay it. Maybe it’s because it’s not really my thing but I think even if it was that is a lot of money. Love the colour of the powder though x

This looks such a pretty powder! It is a tad pricey but I am used to buying make up that is on the more expensive side plus it does so much you would probably spend more buying individual products

I haven’t tried anything from Rodial before, but this is just beautiful! The price tag puts me off a little bit, however if it is as good as the hype, I would be quite tempted. x

That sounds wonderful if it stops powder setting into fine lines. Don’t worry I was late to the game too lol.

I really do need to get back into makeup this looks lovely, if it’s a good quality product and lasts longer then the other brands paying more is worth the expense

I’m really interested in this because I have a problem with dark circles. I’d never heard about this until this evening but I’ve seen two bloggers talking about it now so I should check it out!
