Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect Top Coat

When it comes to nail care and nail polishes, I’m a big fan of gel nails. I love the look of them, the feel of them, in fact I love everything about gel nails, apart from removing them. Which is why I’m such a big fan of gel effect top coats. They give you the look of gel nails without the hassle of removing them. And one of my new favourite top coats is the Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect Top Coat.

The original Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat has been a staple in my nail care routine for so long now. It’s the only top coat I use to keep my nails shiny and chip free for a good five days. Which is why I was so eager to try the Seche Vive Instant Gel Effect Top Coat.

The new formula offers you all the fast drying properties from Seche Vite, just with the added bonus of a glossy, high shine finish of gel. The best part is that you don’t need a UV light to set it and you can remove your nail polishes with regular nail polish removers.

I’ve found the top coat applies really easily. It doesn’t drag the polish underneath and it dries incredibly quickly. You get a lovely glossy finish that is similar to the effect you get with a gel manicure. Obviously it’s not as thick as a gel manicure but you’ll never get that unless you actually go for a gel manicure. But it’s a great alternative if you want super shiny, glossy nails that will remain chip free for a good five days.
