I seem to have a love hate relationship when it comes to gel nails. One the one hand, I love how convenient they are and how lovely they look on the nails but on the other hand I don’t like the cost, the upkeep or having to go to the salon to get them done every few weeks. And while I had gone off gel nails for a while, I’m back in love with them and the Sensationail gel polish kit.
If you’re not familiar with the Sensationail gel polish, it’s a at home gel kit that is so easy to use. The gel comes in a regular gel polish bottle rather than a pot, and once applied they last on the nails for two weeks. Which is pretty impressive for an at home gel kit. The initial starter kit comes with everything you need, the LED lamp, the gel primer, cleanser and base coat and then a colour. You can also buy additional colours either in Boots or on their website.
There is a great range of polishes in the Sensational gel polish range with pretty much every colour under the sun covered. Some of my particular favourites include the coral sunset which is on my nails at the moment, and sugar plum which is a lovely plum colour.
Now that I’m back into using gel nails, I think I’ll be trying to up my gel nail art game. I’m not sure how yet, so if you have any ideas please let me know.

I keep seeing gel nails but have only had acrylic. This set looks awesome. I may have to invest x
I think it’s worth the investment and seems to be a bit kinder to nails than acrylics x
I Love my sensationail lamp, I have had it over a year now and its amazing either for gel nails or for putting just an extra top coat over my salon gels.
