Summer Fragrances

It may be August and the weather may not be the best for this time of the year. But it hasn’t stopped me getting into the summer mood. And that includes finding a new summer fragrance to enjoy.

For me fragrances are such a personal thing. What smells a certain way on you could smell completely different on someone else. And you can tell so much about a women by the scent she wears. Whether she chooses to go for a fun fruity and floral fragrance or sensual musky scent.

For me, I like a mixture of both. I like to wear eau de toilette for a light scent but then the eau de parfums are perfect for when you want a heavier fragrance.

So here are some of my summer fragrances this year:

Alexandra McQueen – McQueen Eau De Parfum

I recently reviewed this over on Really Ree’s blog and it’s one of my absolute favourites at the moment. It’s a heavier scent and completely different to anything else I own. It has hints of floral and a few spicy notes which add to the unique scent.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh

I’ve been wearing Marc Jacobs perfumes for a while now, and I love the whole Daisy collection. But Eau So Fresh is definitely my favourite. As the name suggests it’s a lovely fruity, fresh fragrance that is ideal for summer and the warmer weather.

Giorgio Armani Si Eau De Parfum

Although this is a heavier perfume to wear, I do love to wear this in summer. I would describe it as a luxe vanilla fragrance that is rich, warming with a comforting sweetness to it. It’s sophisticated enough to wear in the evenings but also relaxed enough to wear in the daytime.

Lacoste L.12.12 Pour Elle Fragrances

These recently appeared on my blog but I love that all three smell similar but also completely different. They all have jasmine notes running through them but they are three different fragrances that represent the three different types of Lacoste women – elegant, natural and sparkling.
