Summer nail shades

Summer nails

I don’t know about you, but one of the things I love about the spring summer time, is the chance to ditch the dark reds and purples that I normally wear on my nails. And instead replace them with brighter, softer more summer appropriate colours. And I think I’ve found some of the most gorgeous summer nail shades thanks to CND Vinylux and the new spring/summer collection.

Now if you’ve not tried CND Vinylux before. Where have you been? Their polish is designed as a weekly manicure that is chip-resistant and fast drying with brilliant shine. You don’t need a base coat, but you do need the special top coat. And a bit of sunlight – the sunlight adds increased durability! And I have two of the new nail colours to share with you.

The first is Gummi, a beauty pastel lilac cream. And Taffy a gorgeous pastel duck egg blue. Both of which would be perfect for this time of year. Now, I normally go for a brighter, bolder in the summer months, but I’m actually a really big fan of the paler, softer tones. They’re incredibly versatile and quite chic too.

So this new collection showcases the re-invented Vinylux™ Weekly Polish, with an innovative ergonomic brush and unique caring complex. The Italian-designed brush allows for smooth and easy application and the infusion of keratin, jojoba oil and vitamin E, keep natural nails hydrated and flexible.

And I have to say I’m a big fan. As someone who normally goes for gel nails, these polishes are a great alternative. Especially if you love to chop and change the colour of your polish as much as I do.

Each polish retails for £10.95 and are available from here.

What do you think of these shades? Are these the kind of colours you like to wear in spring/summer?

I am really struggling to find a varnish that will stand up to everything I do in a day, if you know of a super dooper hardwearing Black nail varnish I’d love to know.

I love changing my nail colours to brighter or pastel shades this season too. Taffy is such a pretty colour. I’ve got a few of the Vinylux polishes and love them, they really do last longer than regular nail polish.

Ooooh I’ve never even heard of that brand I might try them out. I’m sick of expensive nail polish that still cracks n 24 hours x

Very beautiful pastel colors! The color of my nails depends on the mood 🙂 So I do not wear gel lacquers, I use the classic. Recently, I buy lacquers on a natural basis. Such varnishes are more safe for the nail plate.
