Three of my favourite cleansing balms to try

Three of my favourite cleansing balms to try

As much as I love spending hours getting ready, playing with makeup and experimenting with new looks. I also love getting to take it all off. There’s just something quite relaxing about taking the time to give yourself a mini facial. Which is why a cleansing balm is an absolute staple in my skincare routine. But like most products I use, I don’t just stick to one. I tend to mix and match on the products I use depending on my mood and what I haven’t used in a while. But there are three cleansing balms that I constantly turn to. Which is why I wanted to share with you all three of my favourite cleansing balms to try:

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm £39

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm

If you’re not already aware of this cult classic then where have you been? There must be thousands of reviews online about this wonder balm. And it’s easy to see why. It’s so much more than your average cleaning balm and an absolute joy to use. Not only does it smell incredible but it’s such a relaxing and soothing experience to massage it into the skin.

It’s packed full of moringa seed extract, wild sea fennel and vitamin E to help minimise the appearance of open pores, while orange, neroli and mandarin oils work to rejuvenate and revitalise your skin. Plus with the jasmine, cedarwood and rose, it reconditions dehydrated and troubled skin and gives a daily boost to dull, dry and mature skin. It’s like a real life magic potion. I love that this removes all traces of makeup, and leaves my skin feeling fresh, supple and never tight. It also leaves my skin so moisturised and nourished that I don’t always need to apply a face cream over the top.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm £23

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

This is the cheapest of the three cleansing balms. But it’s just as effective. Unlike the other two, this one is un-fragranced. Which I’m sure will please those of us who prefer un-fragranced products. Like the other two, this one if also incredibly gentle on the skin with it’s non-stripping formula. I love that this balm melts into an oil that sinks well into the skin. Plus it removes every last trace of makeup leaving your skin feeling and looking cleaner and healthier. And fear not those of you who are as oily as me. Although the balm turns into an oil. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy at all.

Rodial Bee Venom Cleaning Balm £50

Rodial Bee Venom Cleaning Balm

Now this is a pricey cleansing balm but oh my it’s worth it. With Bee Venom – known for it’s plumping abilities, it also has a mix of salicylic acid and vitamin c. Both of which are known for their anti-ageing properties. All you need is a pump of the product, mix with water for a milk consistency before applying it your face. And then rinse. I’ve been using this in the evenings as part of my second cleanse and I have to say, it does feel like a luxury product. It smells beautiful and leaves my skin just feeling so soft and squeaky clean.

Do you like to use a cleansing balm? What’s your favourite one to use?

I am not good with makeup or looking after my skin and tend to just use Simple cleanser and wipes. I’ve used a couple of Clinique products in the past though, and they were very nice so I’ll look out for their ‘take it all off’ balm! Thanks for sharing 🙂

I haven’t used any of these products. I do tend to use cheaper items although I have been debating changing my skincare routine up a little. My Mum used to use Clinique products all the time and she loved them.

Hands up I love the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, I’ve just finished a pot and I really should try and get around to replacing it as my skin loves it, but the price is just so high.

I have not heard of the Emma Hardie one, I live in the states so maybe thats why. Though, it does sound amazing based on the description you gave and the ingredients used in it. I like the Clinque one because it is fragrance free. When I put something on my face, I like for it to be fragrance free. Rodial is a bit too pricey for me, but it does sound great too. Right now I use Ponds cleansing cream. It is fragrance free and hypoallergenic.

Taking my makeup off is my absolute favourite time of day! I always cleanse, tone, moisturise, but I’ve never used a cleansing balm. I am intrigued! Always love a new product, so I’m going to look into these.

I’ve been going makeup free these hot days, and prior to that been a bit lazy with my makeup removal routine, but I am loving the sound of these cleansing balms.

I noticed today hpw bad my pores look! They look open which freaks me out a little. So I will have to pick up some of the Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm to see if that helps!

I don’t usually use a cleansing balm as I prefer to use a face wash, but those look amazing!

My mummy isn’t big on skincare and knows she needs to change this soon as she’s starting to age badly now. She likes the sound of the cheaper Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm maybe to start with x

I love cleansing balms. One of my faves is the one by White Rabbit Skincare. Super affordable but performs amazing.
