Veet EasyWax Roll-On Kit

Regular readers of this blog will know that when it comes to removing unwanted hair from my body, shaving is not my preferred option. In fact, I hate it. Which is why I’m always keen to try out different alternatives to shaving, and having shared with you all my thoughts on epilating, I thought I’d share with you today my thoughts on the Veet EasyWax Roll-On Kit.

Now this kit is so much easier to use than you might expect it to be. There was no fuss or mess, in fact it was really straightforward and easy to use. The kit itself comes with everything you need, the applicator, 50ml wax, strips and wipes to use at the end. You can also buy extra strips, wax and wipes for when you’ve run out, but everything in the kit should be enough for four uses.

To use, you inset the wax in the applicator, plug it in and wait around 20 to 30 minutes for the wax to heat up. Once it’s hot enough use the applicator to roll the wax across your leg in the direction of your hair growth (from knee to ankle), apply a strip, rub it into the wax and then in one swift motion pull the strip back on itself. You can use the same strip more than once, so you just apply wax on another section of your leg and repeat the process. It does get a little tricky when trying to do the backs of your legs as you find yourself in all sorts of weird positions, but overall this was very easy and pretty effective to use. I did find a few odd hairs that the wax hadn’t pulled out but like with epilating, I just went along afterwards with a pair of tweezers to pull the odd ones out.

Now obviously as this is waxing, there will be some pain involved, but nothing too uncomfortable, in fact I found it less painful than using an epilator. But I would definitely use this kit again, it was quick, easy and relatively pain free to use. For a home waxing kit, I am very impressed.

The kit is available from Boots for £29.99.

Would you try at home waxing kits?

I am too scared to try waxing! I think this might be the product to tip me over the edge though. Maybe as this seems easier to use it might be a bit easier to tempt me into doing it!
