When it comes to finding nice work wear I always struggle with shirts and tops. I have a lot of different trousers and skirts, but really not a lot of work appropriate tops. And while I love getting dressed up and feeling like a #GirlBoss in the office, finding a great shirt has always been tough. If it fits around my waist, then it won’t fit across the chest and vice versa. But I’ve finally found a gorgeous shirt that flatters, buttons up and is perfect for work. And that is this lovely pussybow shirt from Hawes & Curtis.
I love the vibrant print of this shirt, the mix of colours against the black and that it can be worn throughout the seasons. I also really love the pussybow detailing. I’ve normally shied away from pussybow tops in the past as I didn’t want to draw too much attention to that area. But I actually find this style of shirt to be super flattering. I think because you can wear this pussybow a little looser, it’s more versatile and easy to wear.
I’ve teamed this shirt up with my favourite black ankle grazers and patent heels. Wearing this in the office definitely makes me feel like a #GirlBoss. But I could also easily wear this with black jeans and flats for a more relaxed look at the weekends.
Although I was familiar with the Hawes & Curtis brand, I had no idea they had so many gorgeous and affordable website. There are some really beautiful ones on their website that are smart enough to make an impression in the office, or perfect for your weekend gear.
