I can still remember the first ‘designer’ bag I got. I was 16 and for my birthday my parents bought me a DKNY bag. OK so it wasn’t a high end designer, but to me it was amazing – I loved it and used the bag constantly. It was definitely the start of my long love affair with designer handbags. Maybe it’s because it doesn’t matter what you’re wearing, a good handbag will complete any outfit. Or maybe it’s because it doesn’t matter how much you weigh or if you’r having a fat day – a handbag will always fit, but handbags are definitely my passion.

Over the years my collection has grown significantly, with my favourite ones coming from Mulberry. It started with a Bayswater and my latest one is this Lily. But when it comes to adding to my collection, I have no qualms with buying second hand designer pieces and even selling the bags I no longer use, to fund my growing collection.

While it’s great to be able to walk into a store and part with your hard earned cash on the bag of your dreams, you can seriously bag yourself a bargain by searing online for quality websites that sell great second hand designer pieces. Equally it’s great to know that you can use a reputable online seller to sell your designer goods.

I’ve used a variety of websites in the past to sell my designer handbags including Xupes and Hardly Ever Worn It. I like that they protect you as a seller and make it incredibly easy to sell your second hand designer bits. They’re also some of my favourite places to buy second hand designer pieces. As I’ve mentioned I really rate buying second hand designer. It means you can normally get a bargain and your hands on an item that is no longer stocked.

Would you buy second hand designer pieces?

I definitely would buy a second hand designer piece! The savings are amazing and the bags tend to be in such a great condition. x

Yes, I’m with you – if it’s in good condition and something I really want, why not?
I love designer bags, I only have 3 myself but I’m always browsing and wanting more. I never thought of trying second hand though, I was always worried about fakes.

I would absolutely buy a second hand handbag. I love designer goods but if I can get them cheaper then that’s always winning for me. Sophie x
I’ve never had a designer handbag but if if I did ( hopefully one day) I would buy second hand 🙂
Great post
