At this time of year, I find myself relying more and more on foundation to even out my skin tone and just make me look awake and healthy. But finding the right foundation as we transition to the cooler weather, can be a challenge, especially for us pale skin girls. Winter can make fair skin look pasty and the wrong foundation can make me loo even paler and washed out. Which is not what I want. Which is why I thought I’d share with you all my winter foundation picks which all warm up my skin tone giving my skin the radiant glow I crave.
Boots No7 Airbrush Foundation
This is exactly what I look for in a formula. It’s incredibly light weight and comfortable to wear on the skin. It contains silicone which means that it literally glides onto the skin and blends really easy. And although the coverage is medium, it is buildable and helps to create a radiant finish that smooths the appearance of fine lines and pore. Plus the bottle and pipette is pretty cool.
Dermalogica Sheer Tint
With a formula that is similar to a tinted moisturiser, the coverage on the Dermalogica Sheer Tint is more like a foundation. It feels lightweight on the skin, smells amazing and gives my skin a lovely healthy glow at this time of the year.
L’Oreal Paris Infallible Matte Foundation
In terms of coverage, this foundation gives a good medium coverage. It’s not too heavy but it’s heavy enough to cover up my dark circles and the odd blemish without the need for extra concealer. Plus the formula gives a glowy radiant finish which is definitely helping me to look healthy and not washed out during the winter months.
So these have been my winter foundation picks, what are yours?

These foundations sounds really good, though I have to admit that I am not very fan of foundation that feels too heavy on the skin. My favorite is the MAC studio fix skin foundation 🙂
Great suggestions! I like no 7 products. I haven’t tried their foundations yet and so good to read your thoughts on the airbrush foundation.
So far this winter I haven’t used any foundation because my skin is dry and foundation makes it look worse. Cheers for sharing!
What foundation would you say is bets for skin with rosacea? I’m always looking for recommendations as it’s so hard to find “The One”. Clinique has been pretty good but I’d love to know what you think x
