We all have those special snippets of beauty advice that we cherish. Advice that we’ve learned from reading our favourite blogs, or from the wonderful women in our lives. I know I have learnt so much over the years, which is why I wanted to pull together some of my favourite beauty lessons that I’ve learnt:
- Wash your makeup brushes regularly
- Find a skincare routine that works for you and try to stick to it
- Don’t skip on hair protector
- Wear SPF in all seasons
- Everyone can wear red lipstick, you just need to find a shade that suits your colouring
- Washing your hair every day is not good for you, or your hair
- Eyebrows will shape your face, don’t ignore them
- Check your foundation in natural light before purchasing
- Change your pillowcases regularly, especially if you have blemish prone skin
- There is such a thing as too much makeup
- A little bronzer can be your best friend, but don’t overdo it
- Don’t rub your wrists together when applying perfume
- Don’t pick your spots
- Dry shampoo can be your best friend
- What works for one person, won’t work for another
So these have been my beauty lessons, what are yours?

Great tips, especially the foundation one, I can think of countless people who would have avoided orange disasters if they’d listened to that one 😉
I’m probably included in that, it’s a tough lesson to learn x
Oh these are some great tips – and it’s so easy to forget to do things that really are going to help and I agree – dry shampoo is your best friend, especially on busy days

Thank you x
Great tips, I try to wash my hair every 2-3 days and it seems to work best for me x
That works well for me too x
Be gentle to your skin: no harsh washes or scrubs. Sometimes a more simple skincare routine is better. Good, moisturized skin = a more flawless foundation.
Great tips, thanks for sharing x
Love these tips,
Mine is ‘always prime your eyelids’ without it my eyeshadow disappears within 2-3 hours.

Great tip, I have to rely on eyeshadow primers as well x
