Beauty lessons

We all have those special snippets of beauty advice that we cherish. Advice that we’ve learned from reading our favourite blogs, or from the wonderful women in our lives. I know I have learnt so much over the years, which is why I wanted to pull together some of my favourite beauty lessons that I’ve learnt:

  1. Wash your makeup brushes regularly
  2. Find a skincare routine that works for you and try to stick to it
  3. Don’t skip on hair protector
  4. Wear SPF in all seasons
  5. Everyone can wear red lipstick, you just need to find a shade that suits your colouring
  6. Washing your hair every day is not good for you, or your hair
  7. Eyebrows will shape your face, don’t ignore them
  8. Check your foundation in natural light before purchasing
  9. Change your pillowcases regularly, especially if you have blemish prone skin
  10. There is such a thing as too much makeup
  11. A little bronzer can be your best friend, but don’t overdo it
  12. Don’t rub your wrists together when applying perfume
  13. Don’t pick your spots
  14. Dry shampoo can be your best friend
  15. What works for one person, won’t work for another

So these have been my beauty lessons, what are yours?

Great tips, especially the foundation one, I can think of countless people who would have avoided orange disasters if they’d listened to that one 😉

Oh these are some great tips – and it’s so easy to forget to do things that really are going to help and I agree – dry shampoo is your best friend, especially on busy days

Be gentle to your skin: no harsh washes or scrubs. Sometimes a more simple skincare routine is better. Good, moisturized skin = a more flawless foundation.
